Now we have decided to answer the questions we get often about the purchase process and how they they can make their dream a reality.
Each catamaran, motor yacht, and superyacht built is a bespoke creation. Every Sunreef yacht is a vision brought to life, thoughtfully designed to deliver luxury, style, and comfort.
Sunreef Yachts story began in 2002 when Mr. Franciss Lap (a true yachting/catamaran visionary) established its production site and office in Gdansk, Poland. Fun fact is that in 2003 Sunreef Yachts launched the world’s first 74ft luxury oceangoing catamaran with a flybridge and started a new era in the history of yachting and sparked a change in the philosophy of multihull design.

With a population of 470,805, Gdańsk is Poland’s principal seaport and the country’s fourth-largest metropolitan area. Sunreef Yachts opened its doors in 2002, in the heart of the old Gdansk Shipyard – a historic place that witnessed the birth of Solidarity and its victory over the communist regime. Housed in purpose-adapted halls, and boasting a highly developed infrastructure with all the necessary workshops and specialists, along with direct access to the waterways of the Gdansk port and the Baltic Sea, the shipyard ensures outstanding workforce coordination.

Get ready for the adventure of the lifetime
You have decided to buy a Sunreef Yachts model. First, you need to choose your preferred size and model. One can choose in the ranger 50 ft up, sail or power, electrical version, or standard pulsion. Now it is time to choose the layout, equipment and to create your DREAM OCEAN RESORT.
Sunreef Yachts are customized and individually-crafted luxury catamarans. Each yacht is different. The moment you walk into Sunreef Yachts offices, you might feel overwhelmed with the choices of the design and equipment you can put on your yacht. However worry not, your project manager, designer, and OSH sales personal are there to help and guide you all the way in the manufacturing process.
All the Sunreef Yachts offices are interconnected and provide direct access to the production halls, giving every engineer, project manager, and designer the opportunity to oversee the manufacturing process. You will also be given access to take a look at the production line.
Once you have chosen the equipment, materials, and patterns of your yacht, the final touch/or first would be your yacht name. Under that name, your yacht is put into production. The production period is approximately 12 – 15 months.
Celebrity Sunreef Yachts owners:
- Tennis ace Rafael Nadal is the proud owner of a Sunreef 80 Power superyacht “GREAT WHITE”, which was delivered in June 2020. Nadal commissioned the catamaran after previously chartering a number of Sunreef catamarans and meeting yard founder and president Francis Lapp at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival.
- Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso has commissioned a custom 60 Sunreef Power Eco catamaran with Sunreef Yachts in 2021.
- Sustainability entrepreneur and Formula 1® World Champion Nico Rosberg became a Sunreef Yachts Eco Brand Ambassador on World Oceans Day June 8th, 2020.
